Where can I obtain BIRT Runtime version compatible with Java 8?

I downloaded BIRT Runtime v4.12.0-20221128, but when I try to compile my Java application I get the following error:

java: cannot access org.eclipse.birt.core.exception.BirtException
bad class file: /C:/Users/username/birt-runtime-4.12.0-20221128/ReportEngine/lib/org.eclipse.birt.runtime_4.12.0-20221128.jar!/org/eclipse/birt/core/exception/BirtException.class
class file has wrong version 55.0, should be 52.0

I need to obtain older version of BIRT Runtime but I can't find it anywhere.
