Does this request require any of the following?

  • Development
  • Testing & Analytics
  • UX/Design Consultation/Development
  • Localization - If "Yes," what languages?

Example:
https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-elasticsearch.html

Logstash plugins will have multiple settings and the top right hand navigation is so small that users may not even notice that it's there, and makes it harder to quickly navigate to the desired setting.

See gif:

output

It would be better something like this:

@bmorelli25 @colleenmcginnis tagging you both as this is related to your (excellent!) UI redesign. I'm not sure if the solution is to tweak the UI, change the page somewhat, or something else.

Thanks @gtback!

The height of the "On this page" section on the right side is limited because the marketing team needs space to insert content below it. The marketing content that is inserted into that space varies. In the screenshot above, @jsvd is being served a relatively short bit of content from the marketing team ("We're hiring"), but other site visitors may see a longer piece of content (like information about upcoming events).

I get it that we have some content we want to push to visitors but imo it is getting in the way of that list's usability. Can we size that area according to content so that when you get a shorter content (testing in incognito that happens a lot), there's not a big chunk of white unused? Another suggestion is to make it a floating box with an X so you can dismiss it.
