How to Set Generic Ajax call for specific fields

Hi, i'm using your scripts its really good and i'm new to jquery i'm struggling to make generic ajax call for the buttons is that possible ,if so in the call i'm try to get the name of the function and trying to execute the function at code behind as Webmethod in c# is that possible to set , if sample code provided to call generic ajax function it would be great.

one more enhancement request in older browser design gets collapsed is that possible to give any fall back css to avoid that......
