What Happened?

2024-11-29-15-55-50-843

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Perform an encrypted install of elementary OS 8, with automatic partitioning (delete everything and install elementary).
  2. Boot the newly installed system. The wrong keyboard layout will always appear at the Plymouth (disk unlock) stage.

Expected Behavior

Keyboard layout indicator says "CH". What locale is that? I'm sure my keyboard layout during installation was Portuguese (Brazil), so it should be showing "PT" or "pt-BR".

OS Version

8.x (Circe)

Session Type

Classic Session (X11, This is the default)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

No response

Hardware Info

  • Dell Inspiron 15 3583 (amd64 laptop)
