Hi, is it possible to have a listener with gas-client or call task pane code?

I want to have the task pane listen for a specific function call to happen in apps script and execute code when it does or have apps script code call to task pane code using gas-client. I don't see that available inside the README so just wondering if it's possible?

If not currently supported, is it possible to do at all?
