Issue Status: 1. Open 2. Started 3. Submitted 4. Done Work has been started. These users each claimed they can complete the work by 3 years, 4 months ago. 1) kwikiel has started work. I would like to create pricing / risk engine that would use Black–Scholes model for option pricing. I've previously created bots for investing in Bitlendingclub I created Loan Star, a native mobile borrowing and lending iOS app. The app uses a combination of the Bloqboard API and web3swift to perform calls to the Ethereum blockchain. It allows the user to view requests to borrow, as well as filling and creating new debt orders from within the app. Learn more on the Gitcoin Issue Details page. |

Bloqboard is offering one prize of 6.5 ETH to the best application/solution built using Bloqboard or Loanscan APIs.
Bloqboard API documentation
Loanscan API documentation
Here you can find some of the ideas for inspiration:
Mobile-First Loan Originator w/ Bloqboard API integration
Bloqboard is currently available on Android and iOS devices via Coinbase Wallet and imToken. But we want to make the process of requesting a loan as simple and intuitive as possible. You could create a mobile first interface where users select the token they would like to borrow and preset the other loan request fields.
Status chatbot with Bloqboard API integration
Status is a really well designed encrypted messaging service for the decentralized web. We would love to see someone build a chatbot for Status which would allow counterparties to both send and fill loan requests.
Recommendation system for debt orders based on AI & Bloqboard API
As it currently stands, lenders on Bloqboard need to manually search for orders. You could create a recommendation system that matches lenders to new loans similar to ones that they filled in the past. An alternate idea would be to allow lenders to specify the terms that they’re looking for and to alert them when a matching loan request gets posted to the listing board.
Advanced analytics based on Loanscan API
The Loanscan provides access to data on interest rates, tokens used as principal, tokens used as collateral, loan durations and more. We would be interested in seeing advanced analytics applications that leverage the API. One idea might be to find a pattern in delinquent loans and classify certain types of loan requests as higher risk.
Fraud detection based on Loanscan API
At some point down the road, there’s a possibility that the Dharma protocol could be used by some for nefarious purposes like money laundering. Leveraging the Loanscan API, you could create a tool that detects suspicious activity in attempt to prevent money laundering.
Dharma improvement for direct ETH loans (without Wrapped Ether)
When a lender wants to fill a loan request with ETH or when a borrower wants to collateralize with ETH, they must first wrap their Ether. You could create an application that allows for direct ETH loans without the need for W-ETH.
Auto-Loan Filling Bot
Instead manually scanning the Bloqboard listing board for loans that meet their desired criteria, you could create a bot for lenders that would evaluate all newly submitted loan requests and automatically fill loans based on the lenders criteria. Bonus: create an order book where borrowers could see the terms set by lenders for these auto-fill loans.
Integrate 0x / Kyber / any DEX + Dharma Loans
At the moment, borrowers need to have the token that the want to use as collateral in their wallet; same for lenders and the principal that’s requested in a loan. So, for example, if a lender has ETH in their MetaMask wallet but a loan request has set ZRX as the principal, the lender would need to go to an exchange, trade their ETH and purchase ZRX, and then go back to Bloqboard to fill the loan request. You could look to build an application that integrates with a decentralized exchange like 0x or Kyber, allowing users to trade and fill a loan request without leaving Bloqboard.
Margin Trading for Augur Prediction Shares
Augur is a prediction marketplace that allows user to buy and sell shares in the outcome of an event. You could create an application that allows users to request a loan via the Bloqboard listing board in order to fund the purchase of shares in the outcome of an event.
Borrowing / Lending NFTs directly
Over the past year, non-fungible tokens have dramatically risen in popularity. Many NFT holders are sitting on their tokens with the idea that they will continue to rise in value (see: $140,000 Cryptokitty). At the moment, Dharma loans can only be filled with ERC-20 tokens. You can create an application that allows Cryptokitty hodlers to retain control of their asset but also benefit from the interest from loaning out their NFTs.
Crypto-Collectible Affirm
Non-fungible tokens created by projects like Decentraland and Cryptokitties have emerged as a popular crypto use case. However, at the moment, someone that wants to buy an NFT must be able to self-finance the purchase at the time of the sale. We propose a lending project that locks a collectible in a smart contract and allows a person to pay for it in installments. We imagine that with the convergence of more mainstream users becoming interested in digital collectibles and the increasing median price of an NFT, a lending tool like this would be immensely valuable for the ecosystem as a whole.
Revenue-Collateralized Loans for DEXs
Although decentralized exchanges aren’t yet charging they require capital to fund their day-to-day operations. This project would allow a DEX to sell a token that represents future revenue. You could look to tokenize the Ethereum address that will receive the fee generated by the exchange. That newly created token could then be used to collateralize a loan request on the Dharma protocol.
