Just an update from what we discussed at the summit. I suggested that one could extract the labeled tree from the derivation if the extended derivation form UDX were used, but I don't think that's true. The code I have in PyDelphin for extracting labels from a derivation is only for using the JSON-based web API, such as the one hosted at UiO, where the labels are inserted into the JSON format of derivations. If you're not getting your data from the web API, you would still need to call ACE with --report-labels (PyDelphin does this by default) and have a compatible grammar.
