Universal Market Assessment

Supply and demand are out of balance
I propose leading a market assessment (that is universal) to allow for identification of value propositions, verticals & target clients that are a product-market fit for Filecoin.

The pitch (why do this)
The market assessment is part research and part market definition and will serve a couple of things:

1. Bring the supply and demand sides into balance. That is, while the infrastructure build continues to gain momentum these insights can inform sales strategies /client generation, including Notary DataCap targets
2. CX & UX insights. The work will identify the verticals and organisations with strongest product-market fit to enable frictionless application and onboarding

The outputs will contribute to:

• Making Large data set (LDN) due diligence faster and less friction through the 'trusted' verticals/ organisations
• Inform projects such as Gravity
• Support the Filecoin entrepreneurs to commercialise their tech
• This includes an important dimension to support Notaries shift from 'gatekeepers' to 'guardians' which is the definition of layers of trust for businesses/ verticals that will contribute to less friction in DD

The ask
I have expertise in commercialising new technology and have led many of these pieces of work, clear about how to execute and will work fairly autonomously. What we are seeking is funding (from the foundation) to access quant and run qual research as well as some support (like a core working group) from the community to contribute.
