When the clef is encoded with a + pae2abc assumes it should have only four staff lines. But the PAE specifications do not imply something like this. It should only throw a warning that this isn't supported and still use five staff lines.

Thank you. I don't remember where I took this case from. However, giving the existence of Verovio this project is quite dormant now. I'll leave your issue so it is clear that it deserves some care.
