7.1 Digital out of the FreeDSP family of products? Has it been included in any freeDSP specification or product?

Observations:

1. The Kickstarter Aurora project includes a FreeDSP expansion header.
2. Available is a FreeDSP board that converts from this expansion header into 4x i2s.

Questions:

I could be asking a silly question, but I wonder if this means that one in principle can fetch a 7.1 DIGITAL stream via 2?

If not, i.e. that some control feature select one i2s at the time to run on to this expansion board, may I please ask if FreeDSP specifications contains a description on how to fetch such a 7.1 stream in the DIGITAL domain.
