Counting candidates with multiple repositories enabled when a single repository is specified #2305

Nit

In the screenshot below, the count 1467 probably included a few hundred candidates from the FreeBSD-base repository despite me specifying (out of sight) --repository FreeBSD-ports.

In situations such as this, is there any value in refining the count?

no it does not include candidates from FreeBSD base, what make you think otherwise?

Sorry, I forgot to mention: the number of candidates is the same when multiple repositories are used (when a single repo is not specified).

Maybe I misunderstand the meaning of candidates in these contexts.

Also, the total to be forced in the screenshot above. 5 + 99 + 843 = 947, that's considerably less than 1,467.

99 (to be upgraded) + 843 (to be reinstalled) + 525 (base packages, not ports) = 1,467. Coincidence?
