Feature Request: Release artifacts as tarballs?

I was looking at trying to get grok_exporter added to https://github.com/lest/prometheus-rpm , and it looks like it'd be much easier if the release assets for this project could be distributed as tar.gz files instead of (or in addition to) zipfiles.

Looks like this is where the magic happens...?

If this wouldn't be too much trouble, do you think a tarball version could be added?

Sure, that should not be a problem. I'll keep it in mind for the next release.
