Please keep this issue "open" until blocks is working again... and cheers for the idea that I got by reading the source code!

I'd love to know how to do this for a raw device/parition as well.

@HaleTom, I just tested blocks and it works after this one-liner change available from this fork.

I tested it with lvm so far and works pretty well.
