Support for VSTS (multi-ack) Git Repositories

Hi, currently the git "go-git" library used by gaia does not work with multi-ack services src-d/go-git#335 (comment) e.g. VSTS. This looks to be a long running non trivial issue. I have had success using the approach used by weave works https://github.com/weaveworks/flux/tree/master/git, however this requires the install of a git client as its just a wrapper over the binary

This is an issue, yes. But there is no official solution or care given enough in order to use something. We could use a hack, but I'd prefer not to.

Until everything is sorted and there is a definitive way of doing it, I would say, stay thy hand.
