Linux mint 22 issues

I use fish shell and im on linux mint 22 the window size does not seem to be giving the right numbers if i set the number the default is 141x41 if i set nothing and smallest is 92x35 even though I can manually resize it smaller

Are you 100% sure it does not match correctly there is some info in the docs that it wont match 100% unless window-decoration = false which is a known bug I do see that you have no titlebar and no adwaita. Not sure the difference between that and window-decoration = false

Also why are you setting a bunch of macos only options on linux mint they wont do anything. You are also setting some options that are already the defaults this is very much not recommended as it can cause issues when you do this mixing certain things and makes issues like this hard to debug I would recommend trying to clean up your config some first that still exhibits this issue

Other pepole have reported window size being off though so this might be related

Shared config for macos and yes I saw that in the docs I assume it means the size is off due to the size of the taskbar but its not just slightly off is this big when set to 10x10

what DE are you using on Mint btw Cinnamon? (looks like you are based on the icon in the bottom left)

The initial window size. This size is in terminal grid cells by default. Both values must be set to take effect. If only one value is set, it is ignored.

We don't currently support specifying a size in pixels but a future change can enable that. If this isn't specified, the app runtime will determine some default size.

Note that the window manager may put limits on the size or override the size. For example, a tiling window manager may force the window to be a certain size to fit within the grid. There is nothing Ghostty will do about this, but it will make an effort.

I am also using Cinnamon on Nix and see a very similar size to you so this may be a Muffin / Cinnamon issue and not something ghostty can solve (the smallest for me is 64x19) my screen is 1920x1200 which makes those dimensions either a multiple or close to a multiple wonder if yours is the same if you have a higher res display

Yup cinnamon. Wezterm was fine with a smaller size so don't think it's an issue with the os and larger than a certain size seems to work

Wezterm is not GTK based so this may be a factor here with Cinnamon specifically
