Standard unicode star breaks font rendering

This one is oddly specific, but always reproducible...

I discovered this when opening the profile tab of lazy.nvim, i would always get this screen:

This was very strange to me and after some testing i discovered that narrowing the size of the window the screen would go normal again...

After some more digging i found the root of issue, it's this:

Whenever this character shows up every cell upwards will be blank.
