Is there a way to permanently hide the beaconComponent?

Using the tour, I am doing a controlled multi-route tour. I tried putting the disableBeacon: true for the step I don't want to show, which is the one right after the route change, and it starts jumping instead of the default of fade-in/fade-out effect. If I don't add that to the step, then when the route changes you see the beaconComponent flash for a second in the top left corner before it disappears. Is there a general global way to hide the beaconComponent or any other fix?

Right now I am just targeting the class react-joyride__beacon and setting display: none
