After careful consideration, I feel we shouldn't be simply copying off the TCs or even some features from Glusto without getting the said history along with it.
The reason is two-fold,
People have worked on those test cases and it is injustice to not include their contribution. Even though Redant is a different repo, but the aim of both the code bases were to have an automated test framework.
Redant improves upon and adds new features as well as fixes the shortcomings which Glusto had by taking new approaches wherever required. But we have nonetheless built upon the effort of what was already done.
For the migration of a file along with its history to any other repository, a readme will be added which can be followed to do migration of TCs whenever required.
Or, we can migrate the TCs in some form to Redant and then finally whenever a certain file is to be properly migrated, it can be done. In the second manner, we won't need to redo the copy of files from one repository to another again and again. We just need to store these tests inside a intermediary directory in the repo before being properly handled.
