Pasting content into a code snippet deletes all other content in the post

Describe the bug
When you past content into a code snippet block, all other content in the post is deleted and replaced by the pasted content (which, ironically, is not formatted as a code snippet).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. create some content in a draft
2. add a code snippet block
3. paste some text into the code snippet
4. watch all of your other content disappear 😱

Expected behavior
pasted code should be added to the code snippet, all other content should remain in place.
