I must copy my credentials via my clipboard. Using the systemwide default browser makes much more sense, because it means less duplicate authentication, and that a proper password manager can autofill the credentials. It's also more trustworthy.

What https://github.com/PolyMC/PolyMC does - provides a code (which login.live.com requests) which provides an OAuth login.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Invoke an OAuth login using a standard method whereby a key isn't provided. This is probably more difficult, however.
