If you pre-assign tables manually (eg want to give preference for a few hackers) and then run the autoassigner, autoassigner will skip the tables that are already set (if this is what you meant)

Could have been more clear here; basically if you run the auto-assigner, and then run it again, it errors out. The UX in the case should be better; e.g. it could either communicate the interaction better, or add some way to force it, rather than unassigning and re-assigning. Will probably go with the first solution.
