Maybe this is working as intended but I have a few duplicate feeds and so I poked around my gpodder account and found e.g.

gpodder rss
https://gpodder.net/podcast/crypto-gram-security-podcast-2 http://dhenage.libsyn.com/rss
https://gpodder.net/podcast/crypto-gram-security-podcast-4 https://dhenage.libsyn.com/rss

these differ only in http vs https.

Weirdly the http one has 32 subscribers, the https one has none (despite me being a subscriber and that being where all my episode activity is).

I don't really know how I ended up with both of them (maybe that was Antenna Pod or maybe I did something weird long ago).

I suppose it's correct to distinguish them since they could serve different content (and gpodder has a different set of episodes with the http going much further back).

I'm not sure what I want here, maybe

  • a way to opt myself into treating them as identical
  • a way migrate my history from http to https
