Filter dropdowns with actual values to improve usability (the way the gafana storage plugins work)

The Grafana storage products have quite a good usability in their datasource plugins as they have intelligent dropdowns to show the actual possible values. with the clickhouse plguin we need to know the actual value (basically need to query it ourself from the database) before we can really use the filters.

e.g. mimir has a metrics dropdown and even can open a whole metrics browser to find the desired metric.

the mimir plugin directly allows to select the metric name in the filter

or open a metrics browser with metrics description

Loki

loki also directly allows to select the value from a dropdown for all the filters

has anyone looked into this yet? wouldn't it be possible to basically re-use the metrics browser from mimir and adapt it for the clickhouse plugin?
