Render healthcare=laboratory #3584
Comments
It is fixed by #3498 and will be visible soon: |
It's also a duplicate of #2938. |
Thank you! |
Since #3731 https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:healthcare%3Dlaboratory The tag healthcare=laboratory is used for a Medical laboratory: a place which performs analysis and diagnostics (physicochemical, biochemical, hematologic, immunological, microscopic, bacteriological, etc.) on body fluids such as blood, urine and faeces. A medical laboratory is sometimes open to the public for sample collection, but may only accept samples which were collected elsewhere. It is equipped with measuring instruments, employing professional lab and medical staff. It may be an independent entity or a part of a hospital or clinic. Used over 8000 times, most added in the past 3 years (mid 2018 to 2021). It’s not clear if this should be rendered with the same color as public health care facilities like hospitals and clinics, since not all features are open to the public. |
I personally think same color would be just fine, but a different shade (red/pink) is just as fine too - after all we render But the specific shade is a minor detail which in my opinion blocks much more important thing, and that is to render |
There is an open but stale PR for this: #4402 - #4402 (comment) contains some considerations that would be good to take into account (in addition to what @jeisenbe already mentioned above). Also to be considered: #4282 (comment) - i.e. rendering healthcare=laboratory but not rendering healthcare=sample_collection might further incentivize the already widespread conflation of the two. |
I think that |
