Audit Project Slack channels

Overview

We need to Audit and reduce the number of slack channels for this project, so that we can encourage team members to talk with each other, and be able to onboard new members.

Action Items

• Create a spreadsheet to list all channels and their status (active, dormant, archived)
• Discuss with leads which channels they want to keep
• Archive appropriate channels
• Update Onboarding and Offboarding Issues
• Add instructions to our wiki about how to unarchive channels

Notes:
Note 1: Bryan: Be sure to rename any channels that might be reused because it’s impossible to re-use archive channel names. I.e. “fola-random” – please change it to “fola-random-2024” before archiving. Bonnie: We don’t want team members to make new channels. This should be done by admin. Team members making channels is what has led to this project management debt.
