I searched the network and there the solution, in recent versions of linux if we have the error that the application does not start we must edit the file, with administrator privileges: /usr/bin/simple-image-reducer
And replace the content of line 28 which is: import Image
by: from PIL import Image
And we are already saving the file and the application will work perfectly.
