  • The Mayor reported problems with 8 or more manholes in the Ridgecrest Subdivision. Stormwater run
  • In Attorney Phillips' reply he stated that Dr. Cates has some concerns about the placement of the lines on his property causing erosion damage.
  • Attorney Harkins said that the EPD has a say in this situation and at some point the City Council will have to think about condemnation.
  • Attorney Syfan explained that the State of Georgia is seeking more control to reduce the sediment going into rivers, lakes and creeks caused by land disturbing projects during the water war currently going with surrounding areas/states.
  • Ms. Rogers noted that when communities come together to protect natural resources, it fosters a sense of stewardship in generations to come.
  • Mr. DeVaney stated that he believed that the Commission had a reasonable understanding of what a residential subdivision is which includes putting in a road, sewer, green space, storm water runoff etc., and when subdividing land into 2 parcels, each parcel needs to be a buildable track of land and has to meet the minimum acreage requirements and if it does it is not a subdivision, but a subdivided lot.
