The goal of this project is to provide everything you need to build your own eXtreme Feedback Device (XFD) at a reasonable cost (round about 10 Euros).
My own first prototype uses a PIC18F2550 micro controller (it is a little bit to big for this purpose, but I had one at hand). To show the build state I cannibalized a traffic light gadget:
