Feature Extension: Spotify Integration Search

Hi Team / Community,

I’m looking to see what the art of the possible would be to extend the official Spotify integration within Core to include the ability to use the Spotify API search functionality from within the native HA environment.

This way, I could fully ditch having the Spotify app and the need to use it within my environment.

Functionality to use the Search function in the API to search for Artists / Tracks / Playlists etc and be able to send that playback to any speaker connected in the environment would be great.

The addition of further functionality to add to existing playlists and also follow new artists or add playlists to your environment.

All of these features are available in the API from what I can see, so I don’t think this would be difficult to achieve with the right community development support.
