MTVNetworks killer no longer working on cc.com

Hello Marc, one day sometime in the last few months the MTVNetworks killer just stopped working on cc.com. I can't remember exactly when it stopped working, but literally it was working one day and not anymore the next day. I know nothing about coding whatsoever, but I tried inspecting the page elements on cc.com and I think they updated the website to use HTML5 instead of Flash if Safari is detected...? It would be great if you or anyone else could confirm this and maybe also provide a fix if possible, as their HTML5 player looks exactly the same as the Flash version, yet with none of the additional features you'd expect from even a basic HTML5 player, and I am sorely missing the ol' Quicktime player with its keyboard controls and rewind button etc. Thank you!
