As of the latest update, I am no longer getting the option to dismiss from my fossil smartwatch.

Thanks for the feedback. I assume that this may be caused by foreground service option which has been enabled by default in the one of the last versions. This option in theory should make reminders more stable. The foreground service notification is sticky and can't be removed via swipe gesture, only via notification action button pressed. However if old behaviour is preferred you may turn that option off in the app settings (battery section)
