Jenkins runs slow when using the crowd2 plugin

When running jenkins with the crowd2 plugin for user authentication every page, file and image seems to be loading slower. Sometimes I have to wait for up to a minute for a page to load.

I am using version 1.5 of the plugin.

Maybe something is wrong with the caching of the data from crowd? I found an issue in the old Jira which seems to be about the exact same subject but is closed: https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-13547. I think it is not solved.

For SVN I had the same problem while integrating, this I solved by disabling SSO support. Maybe this is related, maybe not?
