I ask as someone looking for timg 1.3.2+ as a dependency for showing images at the command line - the two seem similar in scope, but from the version number it evidently must be this timg instead.

It is unfortunate they registered timg first on PyPI, but given the inactivity and the fact that their version numbers don't seem to overlap much with yours, perhaps you can claim it?
Does this project have any link to the

on PyPI https://pypi.org/project/timg/#history v1.1.0 to v1.1.6 from the repository https://github.com/adzierzanowski/timg which has been packaged for conda-forge astimg
