SCM in parent & trigger via notify

The following combination seems not to work:

• Hold the SCM (git) config within the parent project
• Derive from this project (without any SCM configured)
• Trigger the build via the push notification of the GIT plugin (https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Git+Plugin or https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Gitlab+Hook+Plugin)

Current result of a trigger is that only the parent project will be build, derived will not, even if the "Allow inheriting triggers" is set to "Inherit triggers".

I am having the same problem as well. Would be so glad if this can be fixed!!!
