irobot pycreate 3 to raspberry pi4

We have a legacy setup using RPI4 + pycreate2 which was using python lib pycreate2. We wanted to move to pycreate3 robot, so the solution using ROS2 is the best way to communicate directly to the robot? There is no same python library as pycreate2 for now ?

Assuming we should use ROS2 API, I m trying to communicate to pycreate3 using a raspberry pi4. I followed the procedure from the doc and can see the usb0 connection when typping ip a :

I updated the pi and the robot to use rmw_fastrtps which seems easier to use.
My raspberry is connected to a wifi which I use with a laptop and ssh.

The command ping 192.168.186.2 is replying but when I run ros2 topic list , I can only see this :
/parameter_events
/rosout

So the robot seems not to communicate.
Could you give me some clue on what I need to do ?

I found the problem! I had to reboot the robot once it was plugged to the rpi
