Events: Adding email contact produces two mailto fields on front end

When adding an email address under Contacts and Contact Email, you must specify the mailto part of the URL or it will default to https://emailaddress

However on the front end, this results in two mailto: fields

This might take some tuning in ACF. The issue is that when you select "email" it actually opens up the "link" dialog. I think if you select email it would be more user-friendly to present a text box.
