Events: Search box is actually filter

When typing something into the box with the magnifying glass in the events calendar and either pressing Return or Find Events, it is filtering the currently displayed month instead of searching all events.

thus is you are searching for "convocation" or "lecture" if it exists in the future but not the current month, the current month is simply reset to no events.

Users expect search to search upcoming events.

The main site search works correctly.

It just seems like this search box and Find Events might want to tie into site search of a custom post type of events instead of function as a filter.
