Hello,

I get this error message when saving in Brave Browser under Xubuntu 20.04.1 (but not when saving in Firefox):
"Timimi save FAILED - Error on contacting timimi host".

This might be related to #48 and #61 (permissions).

So, to test, I deinstalled Timimi from Firefox and Brave and deleted all files connected with Timimi in the local profiles of both Firefox and Brave. Then, I installed Timimi as described here - the error persisted.

Further, I changed persmissions of the Timimi files ~/.local/share/timimi/timimi and ~/.config/google-chrome/NativeMessagingHosts/timimi.json to +rwx but the error persisted.

How to proceed in order to make Timimi work? (It's really needed :-)) Thank you so much for all your efforts :-)

EDIT: Timimi works fine with Brave Browser under Windows 10 and with Firefox under Xubuntu 20.04.1 on the same machine.

Hello,

I ran into this error after switching from Windows to Linux Mint. The solution that worked for me was to install the chromium version of the back end and then copy the timimi.json file from:

~/.config/chromium/NativeMessagingHosts

into

~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/NativeMessagingHosts.

After doing this I refreshed my TiddlyWiki browser tab, created a new tiddler to test with, and the save was successful.

Hope this helps.
