tried to add a business rule and it broke my cart

Fatal error: Call to a member function getContext() on a non-object in /home/sparepar/public_html/shop/application/model/businessrule/RuleAction.php on line 106

Retracing the steps that caused this error - because the rule did not work as I expected I deleted it and because the rule was no longer there - when you chose storefront from the back end - the error was thrown

I re-added the rule and the error when away but it means that I cannot delete the rule without this error showing
