Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In the current version of Zenodo, if I want to link my publication to an event, I am asked to fill in this form:
Especially if each speaker uploads their own contribution, you will most likely end up with data which is not consistent (e.g. conference title written wrong...).
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to have a way to point to an (Indico) event. Or at least to prefill this info based on an Indico URL. Indico metadata can be obtained in two ways:
application/ld+json
block e.g. in https://indico.cern.ch/event/970232) - works in every Indico server;Describe alternatives you've considered
As you probably know, there is a Conference PID working group discussing proper PIDs for events since already since a couple of years and work is being done in that regard. Once there is a standard, that could be another option. Still, there is already a wealth of information available from the 250+ Indico servers currently online, which could be used at least to pre-fill the information in that form.
