Epochs can be used to obtain entire temporal chunks of the Tangle in order to aid node's bootstrapping.
Additionally, epoch syncing will be used to obtain a specific epoch chain, in case multiple competing ones are detected.

  • Implement a way to sync by retrieving a message per epoch from nodes.
  • Verify commitment chain until snapshot.
