It’s been a little while since the last update, sorry for the delay! This version comes with brand new video support and notification improvements.

Now, as well as photos, you can upload and share videos to IRC, just tap the arrow next to the input box and choose the “Take Photo or Video” option to launch the camera into a new dual mode, or “Choose Photo or Video” to upload an existing video from your phone.

We’ve also improved our inline image viewer to support video. Just tap any YouTube, mp4 or 3gp link to watch a video without leaving the app. This even works for video gifs from imgur, Giphy and Gfycat.

As for the notification improvements: you can finally turn on Badges to get a highlight count on the app icon. Plus, notifications now get periodically cleared when you’ve read them elsewhere. And finally, you might notice the alert sound has been subtly updated; it should be more audible on all devices now.

Other updates in this version:
• Added support for logging in with Safari saved passwords on iOS 8+
• Sped up logging in with 1Password and LastPass
• Logging out will now prompt for confirmation first
• You can now tap on any /who result to whois and copy hostmasks
• Stopped wrapping shared URLs in square brackets
• Autocomplete no longer inserts a colon after channels
• Fixed autolinking for certain IRC channels
• Fixed some causes of backlog history gaps
• Stability improvements, crashes and bug fixes
