It makes absolutely no sense for a browser that's focused on privacy to allow browser sync with google. The button should at least be hidden, or the feature removed entirely.

yeah, we've been thinking about it. we wanted to leave the choice for the moment. sooner or later I bet there will be another movement to remove it (again) - keeping this open for the moment.

Would really like to at least be able to take it off my address bar. (The user icon, there's only one user here.)

Fixed in version 2020.11.85. Since this ticket was created for -win and a Windows build has not yet been produced, I'll leave this ticket open.
