Binary format for Composite types

It seems that not registered types are returned in text format. Is there a way to return them in binary format?
Or is there a way to configure them by OID in advance, without manage the encoding and decoding parts, because I do the decoding in my code?

I know about the pgx.QueryResultFormats{pgx.BinaryFormatCode, ... } trick in query and the correspondent ByOID but it is not useful for me because it is not general enough.

I think I should register my composite types in AfterConnect using the CompositeCodec, which prefers binary if all of its internal fields support binary.
