is there a way to set logging to a file?

im running this on a windows pc while running it as a hidden (no gui) task using the task scheduler... but i would like to see the output from the gui saved as a log.... i was wondering if there was an option to output a log file in the same dir as the Jar file. if not that's fine... but that may be a feature i would like to recommend.
