Might need to reinstall Graphics Magick. This also may have been caused by attempting to convert invalid images, which were simply not caught before as Himawari.js' error handling wasn't as good as it is now.

I will close this issue in a few days unless you can provide any more information surrounding this. Thanks!

I was using the latest. this only happens with zoom > 3. I also already removed ghostscripts, and all brew packages and reinstalled them!

Glad to hear updating solved your problems. Will definitely keep an eye on the brew packages.

I still haven't looked into this issue yet, but I have (generally) experienced problems with ensuring all of my brew dependencies are accurate; having to do shit like uninstall/reinstall sub-dependencies, etc.

What do you think the best way is to manage something like this? Do you think I should consider committing some binaries? That doesn't really help if somebody is on a different platform.

Embedding binaries is generally speaking a bad idea unless you have a good reason. A detailed list of dependencies with common troubleshooting section is enough.

When your test suite is ready it will run on a docker container on Travis or Wercker. There you are forced to apt-get install all the dependencies you need.
