No Issue - but I didn't know where to share: NOSON as relay for streams from Internet?

Hello

I do not like to open Internet for Sonos Speakers - so I have my firewall in place that blocks all traffic. This, because I do not like the Sonos policy to gather all Information about me and my family. So with NOSON i can controll the System at home and it plays localy perfectly every thing. So far I use NOSON also to play some times youtube music videos from my linux laptop (but it has aprox 9 sec delay, so the sound does not fit the video). Nevertheless I like this feature and I read, that this is because NOSON is transcoding the stream.

So i wonder, if there is almost everything in place, that NOSON could listen to an internet radio and stream it to the SONOS monitors? I would love this feature and others possibly too.

For now that is possible like you do to play youtube: using your PC as source.
Also you could use "My Radios", and add new radio streams. With this feature you by-pass SONOS services, and your device play the radio stream without proxy.

Thank you, probably I do something wrong. Because, when I add a radio station, I do not hear anything - this with no Internet Access of Sonos Monitors. When the Monitors have Internet Access it does work flawlessly. I would love to be able to hear to internet Radios without giving Sonos Monitors Access to the Internet.

By the way, my PC or Cellphone on which NOSON runs, do have in ether situation (SONOS with or without Internet Access) Internet Access. So as far as I can understand I think at the moment that NOSON does not fuction as relay for this Radio Streams, am I wrong?

You are rigth, Noson doesn't function as relay for radio streams. To do that you have to use it as a relay for the audio stream of your PC like you do with youtube.

Ok, thanks for your answer - so using two app at the same time works with a delay of 9 seconds. But i would love to have the other way around. Meaing having TuneIn within NOSON and using NOSON somehow as relay. What I do not know if other do need this Function too. Could you imagine to do that some day?
