Esp32 NodeMCU esp-32s v1.1 Freezing

I am getting random freezes on 2 Esp-32s from nodemcu. doesn't even give a dump. i bought a new board that's coming in tomorrow so well see if it's just that brand.
The lights stay on but are frozen in place. ESP32 doesn't even reset when frozen, it just keeps the lights on in the pattern where it was at. Happens every 2 minutes or so.
edit: I've also used a different power supply for the node mcu and LED strip, same issue Also without connected to the webserver.

same issue here. NodeMCU ESP-32S

I am switching back to 8266's for my main chip.

I am just going to try and port some of the better code from the esp32 projects.
