I've spent the past 2 days looking up every guide on this, trying everything, I cannot get nvidia drivers to work for this. I'm on 14.04 with teslak80 (tried p100 as well). I've used this guide https://pastebin.com/wG1EpGup, as well as this guide https://github.com/jcjohnson/neural-style/blob/master/INSTALL.md (similar guides, somewhat different in steps) . I've tried blacklisting nouvea even though im sshing and there is no gui. I've tried using run files as well as debs, Im trying to install https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-80-ga2-download-archive as this is the only cuda download I can find for 14.04. I also tried adding --no-opengl-libs to run installation. I still cannot get it to even show up in system, nvidia-smi never prints anything. I'm at a loss here.
If anyone can tell me how they managed to get 14.04 on google cloud to work with any GPU (or 16.04) I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!
Also thanks for this project, I appreciate the work put in to help new people as well!. thanks!.
(I can provide any and all log files/elaborate on anything should it be helpful! I wish I knew what or where the problem is occurring though)
(OR if anyone has a simpler setup using google cloud platform/range of OS's I'm all ears! thanks again!)
