Issue summary

If you have a command that change --size css custom property and terminal ends in odd disabled state

Expected behavior

size command should work

Actual behavior

size command freeze the terminal

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open demo https://codepen.io/jcubic/pen/dyxbJQN?editors=0111
  2. type size 1

N/A

Additional notes

changing CSS variable outside the terminal works
